The PM854 and PM826 miriac™-Modules are based on the Freescale PowerQUICC-III MPC8540 and MPC8560 processor respectively. DDR-SDRAM technology increases the performance additionally. All Processor and I/O Signals such as Gigabit Ethernet, RapidIO and PCI-X are routed to High Density connectors. The size of the PM854 module is 80x95mm². Extended Temperature Versions (–40°C to + 85°C) are available

Miriac Carrier
Design of carrier board is simple. It requires only:

  • 3.3 V supplied to module
  • Line drivers depending upon your individual I/O requirements

Three options for carrier boards:

  1. Design your own
  2. Let us design a carrier based upon your I/O requirements, physical dimensions with the required backplane or mezzanine bus interface
  3. The CR854 Evaluation Carrier can be used as a design reference or as a target board

CR854 Carrier Features (for PM854, PM856)
The CR825 Carrier Board is the fastest way to evaluate the Freescale PowerQUICC III Plattform. Only a ATX power supply is needed to power-up the system. The CR854 offers a 64-Bit PCI Slot, various GbEthernet, Fast Ethernet and serial Ports. In general, all signals for RapidIO-8, Gigabit Ethernet, Local Bus, UTOPIA Level II and GPIO are available at wire wrap connectors. Hence, it's easy to access these interfaces via custom-specific modules, individually. More CR854 Derivates are in development.
